The Company and its Group (“the Group”) is the land owner of 992 acres in the Tebrau-Plentong region. The Group acts as the master developer of the area and thus, our stakeholders include the people who live in the surrounding area. The Group recognizes the importance of responsible development with regards to environment preservation and protection, which we believe is important taking into consideration the fast pace of growth of Iskandar Malaysia.

To ensure this, the Group has had regular dialogues and feedback sessions with the government agencies and the Department of Environment with the objective of ensuring our developments comply with all government regulations.

The Group believes in achieving gender diversity at the workplace and we strive to strike a balance between male and female employees. As at the end of Year 2014, we have a satisfactory composition of 56% male and 42% female employees. We encourage open communication between our employees and the management. It was our honour that the 2016 Iskandar Waterfront Hari Raya Open House on 2nd August 2016 was graced by Sultan of Johor Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar and Permaisuri Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Idris Shah, as well as members of the royal family.

More than 60 elderly & disabled person from 4 homes enjoyed the feast together with the royal family and the staff. Donation & ‘Duit Raya’ also given to the respective homes by the Group during the Open House. The homes being invited and received the donation was Pusat Jagaan Warga Emas Nur Eshan, Persatuan Kebajikan Jagaan Warga Tua Ehsan, Cheshire Homes and Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Terencat Akal JB.

MBJB organized a Rumah Terbuka Aidilfitri 2017 on 23rd July 2017 and held at Padang Sri Gelam. The motivation for this event is to bring the rakyat closer to local authority and give back in a form of Open House and it is a way to appreciate the people of Johor Bahru for their support.

IWCity has been undertake to development 2,720 units of low cost apartments to relocate residents from various villages such as Kg. Datuk Hajjah Hasnah, Desa Makmur, Kg. Bunga Raya, Kg. Tok Siak, Kg. Bakar Batu, Desa Jaya, Desa Melayu, Kg. Belantik and Kg. Tengah. The apartments are located at Plentong next to EDL highway and the keys handing over ceremony was held on 30th January 2016 and it was marked by the Chief Minister of Johor YAB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Bin Nordin.
